Which size is my board?
Measure the poster window inside the frame. A2 is 420 × 594 mm and suits narrow pavements and doorways; A1 is 594 × 841 mm and is the classic A-board size that reads from further along the street.
One design or two?
An A-board has two faces. Order the same poster twice, or two different designs, such as the menu on one side and an offer on the other.
Am I allowed to put it out?
Many councils restrict signs on public pavements, so check with yours first. Wherever it stands, leave a clear path for wheelchairs, buggies and anyone with a white stick.
Designing for someone walking past
- You get about two seconds: one headline, one offer, your name.
- Letters need height: about 25 mm of capital for every 3 metres someone might read it from.
- Set the file at finished poster size and keep text at least 10 mm in from the edge, so the frame does not hide it.

Everything is made to order in the UK. UK mainland delivery is £7.95 per order, free when your goods total £100 or more after discounts (artwork fees do not count). Mainland Highlands add £10; Northern Ireland and the islands are quoted. See the delivery page for the rest.

Does this include the A-board frame?
No. These are posters only, made to fit an A-board you already own in A2 or A1.
My shop front is narrow. Which size should I buy?
A2 (420 × 594 mm) keeps clear of the doorway and people walking past. Most other shops use A1 (594 × 841 mm), which can be read from further along the street. Measure the window of your frame to be sure.
Can I have a different poster on each side?
Yes. Choose two different designs on the product page and we print one of each, so each face of the board can carry its own message.
How many posters can I order?
From one to ten in an order, and the price for each quantity shows on the product page before you add it to your basket.
Am I allowed to put a pavement sign outside my shop?
That depends on where it stands. Many councils limit or license A-boards on public pavements, and some do not allow them at all. Ask your local council first, and always leave room for wheelchairs, pushchairs and people using a cane.
How long before my posters are ready?
Each speed shows its working days on the product page, counted from when your order and artwork are confirmed. After that the courier usually takes 1 to 3 working days.
