Overview

A solid banner on an open fence acts like a sail in a strong wind. A mesh banner has tiny holes through the material, so the air passes through and the banner puts much less strain on its fixings.

When to choose mesh

On Heras and wire fences round a sports ground or event field, on scaffolding, along a fun run or race route, and anywhere high or exposed. For a sheltered wall or a hall, a PVC banner gives more solid colour.

Design for mesh

From a few metres away the print reads as solid colour. Use large lettering and strong contrast; very fine text and thin lines lose detail on the weave.

Thirteen sizes, from 1.5m × 0.5m to 3.3m × 1.8m and 10ft × 3ft, and quantities up to 500 for a long fence line. Every combination is priced live.

Mesh or PVC: which do I need?

When the banner goes on an open fence, scaffolding or anywhere exposed to wind. The open weave lets air through.

Does the print look as strong as PVC?

From a distance it reads as solid colour, but up close you see the weave. Use large text and strong colours.

Are the edges finished?

Yes. Mesh banners always come hemmed, and you choose plastic or metal eyelets.

Can I order a long run for a fence line?

Yes, from one banner up to 500 of the same design, with the price per banner falling as the quantity rises.

What happens if my banner artwork is not good enough to print?

Uploads go through an automatic size and resolution check, and a file too soft for the size you picked is held back before payment. From there you can swap in a sharper file, promise one later, add File check (£4.99) for a person to review it, or pass the job to our artwork and design service.

How much is postage?

Postage to a UK mainland address is £7.95 for the whole order, and nothing at all once the goods come to £100 or more. Production days for each speed sit beside the price, so you see them before checkout.
