Overview

A PVC banner is the big brother of a poster: the same full colour print, on a tough 440gsm sheet that can go outside, be tied to a fence and be rolled up and used again next year.

Where they go

On the railings outside a school for an open evening, across a shop front for a launch or a sale, along the fence of a sports ground, on the wall of a hall for a fundraiser, or behind a stall at a market.

Sizes

Thirteen sizes in metres and feet, from a compact 1.5m × 0.5m to 10ft × 3ft and 3m × 2m. If you are matching an old banner or a frame, pick the size it was made in.

Edges, eyelets and ties

Hemmed edges are folded and welded for strength; flush edges are cut straight. Plastic or metal eyelets go round the edge for tying. Cable ties can be added by the bag if you have none to hand.

Quick answers about pvc banners.

Can a PVC banner go outside?

Yes. 440gsm PVC is made for outdoor use on fences, railings and walls, and it can be rolled up and used again.

Do I need hemmed edges?

Hemmed edges add strength round the eyelets, which helps if the banner will be outside or up for a long time. Flush edges are fine for short indoor use.

Plastic or metal eyelets?

Either takes a cable tie or rope. Go metal for a banner that will hang outdoors for weeks, plastic for a short or indoor job.

Which size reads best from a road?

Go wide and keep the words few: 3m × 1m or 10ft × 3ft with a short message reads better from a distance than a small banner packed with text.

What happens if my banner artwork is not good enough to print?

Uploads go through an automatic size and resolution check, and a file too soft for the size you picked is held back before payment. From there you can swap in a sharper file, promise one later, add File check (£4.99) for a person to review it, or pass the job to our artwork and design service.

How much is postage?

Postage to a UK mainland address is £7.95 for the whole order, and nothing at all once the goods come to £100 or more. Production days for each speed sit beside the price, so you see them before checkout.
